Operation : To patrol the waters of the South Central Mediterranean with the purpose of identifying and capturing vessels suspected of being using my smugglers or people traffickers.
Detachments : detachment Grappa is made up of a total of 45 military personnel from different units. The aircraft serving on the task force is a P3M Orión from the 22nd Group, which has its headquarters at Morón Air Base. Other contributing contingents include the Deployment Support Air Medical Unit (UMAAD) with Role 1 capacity; the Office of Economics (DAE); the Air Control Mobile Group (GRUMOCA), and the Second Air Squadron of Air Deployment (SEADA). These units advise, support and provide management skills in the direction and control of the detachment to the head of the force from the Armaments and Experimentation Logistics Centre (CLAEX).
